Surgical3D began in 2023 when founder Amy York — after years in orthopaedic device manufacturing and later in 3D printing — met a local surgeon who was creating his own surgical guides. That moment revealed an amazing and interesting niche for AM and patient‑specific tools, and it sparked the idea that grew into Surgical3D.
